Default The Last Ninja (1983)

was a movie/pilot for a tv show that never got picked up. the movie was from 1983 I believe and my dad had taped it for me when it was shown on tv.

I watched it over and over, it starred Michael Beck(who was Swan in The Warriors) as the adopted grandson(Kenjiro) who is trained in the art of Ninja by Mako when his last two sons died off.

Even as a kid it stood out me as a less than cheesy and practical approach to ninjutsu.

Much of the movie took place with him scaling a huge glass covered office building while having flashbacks of his childhood and the lessons he learned from his adoptive grandfather.

I was wondering if this movie withstood the test of time but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I remember mako being fantastic in this and the music was cool.

any help would be appreciated....bueller?

I haven't seen that movie, or Mr. Beck in a while. I bet Xanadu killed his career.

This great TV movie has finally been released on official DVD by VEI. Unfortunately it is missing a full 10 minute segment (just like the screener VHS that made the rounds years ago), but it's still worth picking up.
