Confirmed via the Man of Steel UK Facebook page, pre-order goes live on 23rd August. No word on whether or not it's a store exclusive for anywhere.

Was looking forward to a steelbook for this. That cover is a bit underwhelming though.

I think I'm going to go for the German steelbook. A bit pricey at this point, but it looks great and its out on 25th October, three weeks before the States and over a month before the UK.

the thing thats putting me off the german steelbook is the big '3d' text on the front. surely all man of steel steelbooks will be identical worldwide?!?

The German SB has got the usual German writing on the banner typical of Warner Bros Germany.

Anyone know if the steelbook is going to contain the 2D version as well as the 3D? Or is this going to be a 3D only steelbook?

I would hope it would have both. It's been rare that a 3D release not contain the 2D version. Oz is the only one I can recall that did that.

I am going to wait for confirmation that the Walmart one is a steelbook because I already got that pre-ordered. If Walmart doesn't have the steelbook than UK one it is.

I'm pretty sure it will be available everywhere. Warner's biggest titles so far this year haven't been exclusive to a particular retailer.
