Default Oppo 103 region free or buy dedicated player?
I bought an Oppo 103 last year. Love it. Great player. My original intention was to mod it for region free for blu and DVD. I haven't purchased the mod yet. I really don't buy region B or C blurays but I do have a few region 2 DVDs.
So I'm looking for opinions. The Oppo is my main player. I have a Sony S5500 which is my 2nd player primarily used for DVDs that have CC but not subs.
Bottom line, should I mod the Oppo or buy a region free DVD player? The Oppo works so great I'm afraid to mess with it. There's a Samsung region free DVD player on the bay for $32 delivered.
As of this date I've never bought a different region blu. Possibly might in the future. I was just thinking the Samsung is so cheap I might get it for now and if/when the situation arises that I need to play other region blus I could then modify the Oppo.
Opinions?
