Default Horror not available on Blu-Ray!

What are your top 10 horror films that are not yet available on Blu-Ray worldwide?
Some labels are now more busy reissuing the films that are already out in excellent quality and selling them again as 4K, with more grain and only
minimal difference, even if not everyone wants to see it that way...

Here are my Top 10 .... so please Arrow, Shout or Synapse .... get these titles out on blu-ray!

- Lemora
- The House With The Laughing Windows (excellent Giallo!)
- Deathwatch
- Dead Birds
- Dead End
- Fire In The Sky
- The Dark Hours (Underrated canadian film from 2005)
- The Stepford Wives (1975)
- The Night Digger (More a thriller...but very good!)
- The Woman In Black (UK TV Version 1989)

- Ju-On 1+2 (available in Japan on blu-ray but NO english subs!)

And someone please release one of the best films of all time, the highly underrated masterpiece "La Residencia / The House That Screamed", in full HD with no SD inserts or butchered opening like the German release.

Did you mean to type THE NIGHT DIGGER? If so, I'll second that! Caught this on TCM last year and found it to be effectively creepy, with a terrific performance by Patricia Neal and a killer with an especially ingenious method of disposing of the bodies of his victims...

Speaking of TCM, saw EYE OF THE DEVIL for the first time last year. This had a wonderfully ominous atmosphere and a stellar cast, including David Niven, Deborah Kerr, Donald Pleasence and a beguiling Sharon Tate. It predates THE WICKER MAN and they share similar plot elements...shot in beautiful B&W, I'd love to see a Blu of this one.

Still waiting on that slyly subversive and blackly humorous classic MASSACRE AT CENTRAL HIGH to hit Blu - I believe Severin had this in the works, but it's yet to materialize.

Yes, sorry... a typo! I mean "The Night Digger". A great almost forgotten film from the 70´s. The DVD from Warner is not so good in terms of picture quality.
"Our Mother´s House" with a young Pamela Franklin is another great one from that era...this one is available in spain on blu-ray

Any word on the quality of the German transfer? I really liked La Residencia, and it bugged me that Shout's release wasn't completely in HD.

By the way, I second Lemora and The House with Laughing Windows, as well as Alone in the Dark. I'm also still waiting for a Region A release of Tombs of the Blind Dead. I'm seriously considering getting the German release if Synapse doesn't hurry up with that one.

Now that Unearthed Films released The Unnamable a couple of years ago, I'm hoping they will eventually do the sequel: The Unnamable 2 The Statement of Randolph Carter (1992)

Let's see, what else:

Count Dracula (1977)
Rodan (1956)
Deadly Friend (1986)

The german DVD of La Residencia is a mixed bag. They used the same edited US HD master with SD inserts from an (i believe) italien print.
These inserts are in better shape, darker and not as washed out as the one Shout used. Unfortunately some of the scenes suffers from print damage, especially Theresa´s throat slashing.
Like I mentioned before the opening credits are extremly butchered on the german release. Approx 1 minute is missing of the scene when Theresa arrives at the school with the carriage. They included the full lenght opening only as an extra (italien + US)

The german release of Tombs of the blind dead is beautiful! I highly recommend it!

Thanks. I'll definitely get it. I also want to get the German version of Zeder because it has a better transfer than the Code Red U.S. release. I just don't like that although the audio isn't botched, like in the CR, it's lossy.
