Has there been any info on what further Rollin titles they will do? I couldn't find anything online. I have all the Kino releases, and am debating whether to buy the 2 UK titles, as well as the DE Zombie Lake.
FWIW, I liked the look of their Nude Vampire, but the Kino color scheme seemed more natural to me. It's nice to have both.

The next one will be The Iron Rose, probably in December. Afterwards, they're going to release Fascination, Lips of Blood, Grapes of Death, Rape of the Vampire, Night of the Hunted, Night of Clocks and a few more. Today, they announced that Dracula's Fiancee will be coming, too.

I see the DVD has a shorter runtime, but I checked a few key scenes and fastforwarded through it, and it seems to be the same version. Is this PAL speedup or something? I noticed some of the other dual format German blu-rays have DVDs with similarly shorter runtimes. Scanned though the DVD on the Austrian Deep Throat blu-ray and it also appears to be the same version but with a shorter runtime.

Yep, it's PAL speedup. PAL discs run at 25 fps (or, to be more correct, 50i). Thus, each correct PAL disc has a shorter runtime than the Blu-Ray of the title or an NTSC disc.

Does anyone know where these can be purchased? I don't see listings for them on Amazon.de. I'm in the United States and one retailer I found with them doesn't ship to the US. Thanks!

The title is banned in Germany, so Amazon.de won't carry it.

Alternatives:
https://www.medienversand.at/
http://shop.dtm.at/
https://www.beyondmedia.at/ (no specified p&p to the US, you'll need to ask for the shipping costs).

Cover A is already sold out at all of the three shops, only Cover B is still available.

Anyone else have thoughts on this release ? Or any of the other Jean Rollin Mediabooks?

I got Living Dead Girl today

I kept comparing it to my US BLU. The Mediabook release less print damage for sure but IMO the image on the German looks much darker than the US

And the German looked like it had slight very slight noise on the image while the US BLU seemed to have a little more detail. I keep thinking the German BLU has a little less detail and could be from the print scan unless DNR was used?

Both discs have pros and cons its reslly a coin toss for me on this title. I just wish the German had the detail of the US disc. Some of the color grading choices I’m curious about. Who made the choice and were they following notes from original release or is it revisinism?

Perhaps other titles in this line are different?

I dont regret my purchase, still seeking out a couple other titles.

Anyone else have feedback on this or other Rollin titles?

I must say ahead of time that I have not done head to head A/B checks between the Wicked Vision discs and the Kino Redemption discs (I own all of those as well), so take that into account. I loved the Kino discs when they were first released because the films had never looked so good for home viewing (I still do love them btw), but I really love these WV versions as well, and have picked up everything that has been released so far.

The films themselves look great to me, which is why I haven't taken the time to do a comparison between these and the Kino discs.

Additionally, the Wicked Vision blu-ray releases have many good contextual special features that are not on the US discs. Different interviews, audio commentaries from Rollin himself (some selected scene commentaries, some the entire feature), a commentary by Françoise Blanchard for Living Dead Girl, scans of 8mm film reels, short films and featurettes, slideshows of photos, posters, VHS covers from around the world, etc. And despite being German releases, the only features off the top of my head that haven't had English subs are some special features that are already in English, and the new German audio commentaries that were recorded for these discs.

And lastly, because I am a huge nerd, I have to say that the packaging on these is gorgeous and top notch.

If you are more of a casual fan and are just going to watch the films and skip the special features, maybe it wouldn't be worth buying twice. But I am a Rollin fanatic, so the special features and packaging were enough to cause me to double dip, but they're new 2k scans as well. I personally recommend these releases and I've even ended up buying quite a few non-Rollin titles from WV (Kiss of the Vampire, Curse of the Crimson Altar, etc) because these have impressed me so much and those releases are great as well.
