Have you got any stories in which HD-DVD was made the victim of a joke because of lack of knowledgement?

A couple days ago, I was at Wal-Mart in the electronics section. My sister and I were checking out the Blu-Ray section, which of course, was placed next to the DUDs. When my sister looked over to the DUD side, she asked me, "Oooh, is this Red-Ray? What a stupid name."

lol... actually regular DVD's are technically 'Red-Rays'

I think blu ray also supports a special format for high bandwidth content on regular DVDs but you only get a little less than an hour of HD quality on a DVD9.

I was in the Wal-Mart in Avon Indiana and one of the staff called hd-dvd "Red-Ray". I just didn't have the time or inclination to correct him.

Real lame, my sister come-on, they are both Blu-Ray (haha) SD is red this is a guy thing.

wouldn't it be Rede-ray. since Blu-ray left off a e, Red-ray would have to add an e.
