Just curious do you guys/gals ever just stare at your Blu-ray collection and admire it? Look at how it's grown and imagine what other movies and editions you like to add to it etc?

I stare at my collection from time to time for about 30 seconds, and ponder to myself, "Man, I need to add more titles. More!"

Mind you, I already have over 600 blu-rays.

I not only stare at my Blu-ray collection. I also have entire conversations with my Blu-ray collection.

Me:
"I've been spending too much money on you lately, so I need to slow down."

My Blu-ray collection:

Me:
"I think that we should stop spending so much time together."

My Blu-ray collection:

Me:
"I would be perfectly fine without you. I don't need you."

My Blu-ray collection:

Me:
"I can stop any time that I want to. I do not need more Blu-rays."

My Blu-ray collection:

Me:
"I want you to consist of my essential favorite movies, with no B-movies or blind buys included."

My Blu-ray collection:

Yes!

It's usually at night before I go to bed.
Once I spent 20 minutes looking at it, and taking from the shelf and seeing various Blurays...

Usually if I do any staring any more, it's in horror, wondering just how many of them I'll ever get around to watching.

This is pretty much my life.

All my dvds and blu-rays are in my bedroom, and I have about 1200 titles, so yeah I'm constantly looking at it. The worst part is my blu-rays only make up about 1/8th of my collection so sometimes I'll be thinking "I need to buy more blu-rays to balance it out!" That is basically the mindset of someone with an addiction problem.

Yeah, I do. Some times in horror (because the thoughts do run through my mind - "why do I need all of this?"). Most of the time, it's a "whoa, I'm awesome and look at muh babies" feeling.

yep all the time. It's got to the point where it was taking me 30+ minutes to pick out a movie to watch on the weekend, so I had to come up with a new system to narrow things down. These days when looking at it I've begun wondering where I'm going to put another shelf to add more titles.

Do like sometimes and pull titles off the shelf and look at them. Room is always an issue so wonder sometimes where am I going to put more. Also think I have to many sometimes, but its all good. After all its my only hobbie or vice. In fact its about time to smoke over another movie.
