Germany Summerslam 2016 4K UHD

Summerslam 2016 4K UHD is available for pre-order in Germany. Release date November 4. This is one of those rare UHD/3D/DVD releases.

Actually I was a bit suprised that this is released in Germany. I thought wrestling was mostly an American thing.

Didn't know WWE had filmed anything in 3D, but not surprised if they have started in 4K, I understand they are keen to keep up with technology.

They love to upscale SD for Blu-ray so who knows.

This is interesting and strange. WWE always likes to flaunt their technological advances, so I'm surprised that, if they started shooting 4K, they didn't tell the world about it.

the 3D thing is really perplexing, though. Wonder if that's a mistake.

There's no way it will be released in 3D, but I'll totally grab it just to see WWE in 4K.

Last I heard WWE still shoots in 1080i. Has there been any change there? The most recent WWE show with a Blu-ray release reviewed on here, WM 32, still has the video at 1080i... I'd be extremely skeptical about all of this.

This was shot in 1080i and WWE knows that its fanbase isn't the brightest so no doubt they shit this turd out as an experiment to see how many suckers they can reel in to buying upscaled garbage from them. All the movie studios are flooding UHD Blu-ray with upscaled content so it's not surprising to see WWE jumping on the bandwagon.
