4K + 3D + BR

Here’s the official synopsis on Journey to Space, followed by a first-look at the UHD cover art that confirms a Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray version will be included in the package.

If this holds true for the release , the box say's 2 discs........ so 3D and BR would likely be on same disc.

Plus More IMAX releases on the way.

As would I, if they were region free, but that's not likely from Shout Factory.

Things being as they are, I'll probably have to wait until they come out in Germany...

That's very good news, but my concern is regarding the region coding on the 3D Blu Ray as that's the only disc out of this set I'd want to play...

Good to see UHD+3D combo packs. This is how to do it, not like the Martian where we're forced to choose between UHD+Bluray or 3D+Bluray.

i think the region coding on the 3d disc could be region a locked since it is a shout factory release.

I'm sad to say that that's my assumption too.

If the UHD disc is region free surely it would make sense to leave the whole package region free - given that sales of physical media are declining, region locking really is economically suicidal, it needs to stop...

I love Hubble 3D - it's the real deal, quality 3D actually shot in space, forget about Star Wars...

Much of it shot in space, agreed. Some shots rendered in CGI if I remember. Have to watch it again tonight.

great news - day 1 for me. Love that theyre including the 3D disc! If they do the same for flight of the butterflies I guess I wont need the 3D german disc I ordered a couple weeks ago...

Hopefully the price goes down. This being UHD+3D though, it may cost more till the format is around a bit longer.
