Amanda Seyfried will star opposite Kevin Bacon in You Should Have Left, a supernatural thriller from Jason Blum’s Blumhouse.

David Koepp, the veteran screenwriter behind Jurassic Park and 2002's Spider-Man, will direct the project, which will go into production later this year.

Blumhouse described the project as “the unsettling story of a wealthy man with a younger wife and a 6-year-old child. Mistrust and suspicion characterize their marriage while they are in a remote location that may or may not be obeying all the physical laws of the universe.”

Bacon is the wealthy man while Seyfried will play his wife, an actress with a secret.

The script is based on the novel by Daniel Kehlmann, which Bacon found and brought to Koepp. Bacon is producing with Blum.

No, I think those are passable. Nothing wrong with liking older men or women. But Bacon is old enough to be her father, lol! If I didn't knew these actors, maybe I wouldn't find it a bit distracting at all.

The fact they describe it like that makes me think it'll be a plot point...not just weird casting

This has always been a thing in Hollywood. You can’t have leading men with women their own age. How gross!

Same. But then again, they are probably just addressing it to get the elephant out of the room. Which has been done before in movies and TV shows as well.

I hate to say it, but it's true. Not something that should be condone in the real world. But in Hollywood, you got to be in the same league as your co-stars or else.

Some of them have gone for rental and purchase (Bloodshot, Scoob, The Way Back) but I forgot Blumhouse=Uni so, that’s my own mistake.
