Default WinDVD no longer supports Blu-Ray and HD DVD?

Anybody knows why Intervideo, acquired by Corel, pulled Blu-Ray and HD DVD format from their WinDVD software?

"WinDVD 8 Platinum supports the playback of many high-definition video formats (H.264, VC1, HD MPEG-2, and WMV-HD etc…) but it does not support the playback of HD DVD or Blu-ray Disc."

So the correct answer is "To Make More Money" [not that I blame them, sure it costs them a fair bit to do BD + HD-DVD playback].

Looks like we got the old version there.
The new one has BD/HD playabilty and is more expensive.
