Default Worst Experience At Best Buy!

So I went to Best Buy to go and look for Rush Hour 3 on BD and they didnt have any. So i ask the rep thats there and he said that its only on HD-DVD and i said that it doesnt have a release date yet because of region codeing. So he insists that its HD-DVD exlcusive and that its not on BD. So i told him ok get me the HD-DVD one (i dont have an HD-DVD player) he comes back and says he cant find it. I ask another rep to check on the computer because i was really tried of this jerk. He says yeah it says we have 27 in stock let me go get it for you. So he brings me the movie and ask to speak to the manager. I Explained to him what had happend and he was very upset. He gave me 15% off the the movie which i was already price matchin with target for 27.95. What a bad experiance!

I've noticed employees at BB saying that the movies I have asked for doesn't exist on BD and only exclusive to HD-DVD. I believe it was for Good Fellas. I think some of these employees are just moles...

If you can wait 2 or 3 days, just wait for on-line bogo's and buy online from amazon, walmart, whoever.

Why put yourself through the idiot mode with the people some of those places hire. Not all, some....

Good. It's hard to believe how often we sell out of blu titles and the entire section looks picked over the night after we stock it... where as HD DVD stays pretty full from what I've seen.

Oh don't get me wrong we get 99% of all the movies from BB since my b/f works for Magnolia but theses hd dvd fan idiots have to be stopped.

I'm very glad to hear that you asked (politely I hope) to speak to a manager, and hopefully the guy will stop as it sure looks bad to get complaints for the same thing over and over.

I had to report a horrible manager at a Gamestop today also, went to the district manager. If you are getting horrible service or bad info, you need to let the people in charge know. Good thing you stepped up and let the manager know his employee was trying to bamboozle you.

It sounds to me like these employees are more lazy than anything else. I work at a Hollywood Video and if I am having a bad day and someone calls the store looking for a movie, even if I am holding the movie in my hand, I still say its not in stock. And I KNOW I am not the only employee that does this.

If I worked at Best Buy and didnt care about the format war I see myself telling somone looking for a movie on Blu-ray that it was HD DVD exclusive just so he/she would go away.

Working at BB i can tell you they get little or no training on releases and HD formats.
They just have a planogram and what should be on it.

HD format movies are not on planograms usually and since usually its not very many of them they recieve, they probably don't even notice it's released... or in past cases they put them on the shelves and break release dates.

Most are lazy, most just don't know, and most don't want to dig through 85 boxes in the wharehouse when it's only 3 poeple in the whole dept..... it's xmas guys, give them a break theyre over run probably 100 customers to 1 employee
