Default Blu-ray case sizes

Hey all, I don't know how it happened, but I managed to order the UK version of the Matrix trilogy instead of the region 1 version (probably cause it was cheaper . I had not realized until I removed the plastic wrapping and popped it in the player. I looked at the box and realized the rating labels were different. I thought it would not play but to my surprise, it played without any problems. One thing I noticed is that the bluray cases are thicker than region 1 cases. Is it the same for all regions? Are all the blu ray cases different sizes? The ones in Mexico that Ive seen are the same size as the ones here in the U.S. I just though it was cool. I added a couple pix as reference.

BTW, the Matrix, as I'm sure all of you know, looks awesome on BluRay. Isnt that right, Mr. Anderson?

It was Amazon. The picture does not show the rating logo like the actual item does. The description does not say "UK version." And seeing as I am at "amazon.com," not amazon/uk or any other region, one would assume it is a region one product.

I've had that happen with 3rd party sellers on Amazon too. There really is no way to tell.

it has the name of some company, but fulfilled by amazon. Anyways, back to the question. Are all the boxes from all regions different or just the European ones?

that's grounds for filing a claim if they're shipping the (cheaper) overseas version when you buy the region 1

Under the Product Details it says that the product is an import, and that the studio is Warner Bros UK. Also the pictures (there are 7 of them) on the product page clearly shows that it is the UK version.

If you are trying to find who's fault it was that I ordered the wrong item, you are missing the initial point of my post. My question is very simple. Are blu ray cases different in size according to region? or is it just this package in particular?

UK cases are usually thicker than US cases. I don't know about other regions.

Thank you for your reply. I like these thicker cases. Although I do not know if they provide additional protection or not, they are a little easy to read on their spine.
