Great film this and it'll be interesting to see how they handle the transfer. It looked beautiful at the cinema and just so-so on DVD. |

I watched this last night and it looks like a very dated transfer now. VC-1 encoded, soft and overly processed in places. It would be good if someone could give it a do-over for the 4K era.
It would be great, particularly now that they're releasing 4K UHDs. Though, while Cape Fear might feel "relatively contemporary", there was less time between it and Scorsese's debut (24 years) than there has been between it and The Irishman (28 years)! |
