TC Entertainment will release Francis Ford Coppola's The Rainmaker (1997), starring Matt Damon and Danny DeVito, on Blu-ray in Japan on December 26th, 2014.

Thanks for posting this. I'm surprised this excellent film hasn't previously been released on Blu in Europe or the US. Anyway I've pre-ordered it.

Does anyone know where I can buy this from the US? I tried amazon japan, but I have no idea what the things on the site say... Any way to convert it in English? Any other sources? Thanks.

Try Google Chrome with the translate function on.

Amazon JP is your best bet with the lowest s/h.

It seems the TC Entertainment disc was re-issued at a special price by Paramount Japan in 2017:

I expect it's the exact same disc with slightly revised disc and rear jacket artwork, and this is where the eBay copies are coming from.

I see the German disc has been mentioned here, but that disc is from Splendid Entertainment, and does not appear to have the original English audio, only a German dub:

I live in the US and have tried to use Amazon UK before and they won't ship to me. How do you make this work??

Just watched the Japan release disc. Top tier PQ for a Blu-ray. Can be bought from a US merchant on eBay for $20 shipped.
