Just curious to see which companies you guys would be willing to buy consoles from in the future?

I'm pretty much stuck with Sony & Samsung. Maybe a Pioneer. Other than those companies, I'm not very trusting of the quality/longevity of the item produced.

EDIT: Didn't even think about Apple, but they would probably make a reliable product.

sorry, didn't realize i posted this without the poll. please come back in vote. please don't get into business logistics and say things like, well company x would never make a console, because. just who would you be willing to buy one from.

Sony is the only company that offers solid products with reliability and a ton of software support. That's where my vote lies.

A decade ago people would have said that MS is only a software company and would never branch into the console world, so i decided to throw in Google. THey are a very fast growing company that seems to like to branch out, so I wouldn't be suprised if a decade from now if we saw a Google console. ...hey, your thread, your ideas. Thanks for the info, didnt know google operated that way...figured it was and will always be a search engine.

I guess Google would have to make a few reliable products before I went that route...but this day in age, who knows?!

much more than a search engine, they are already making OS. MS hates Google and it wouldn't suprise me if Google tried to take a stab at MS in the future and take away some of their xbox market.

who ever has the console I want to buy.

PS I voted for all. I don't care who makes it or who created it (if eventualy there might be "format" consoles made by several sources). I am not buying a name but a box used for a specific purpose (entertainment) that one that I think will fill that need best is the one I will buy

Would be very intresting to see Google or Apple come out with gaming console. Would be an uphill battle for sure, though.

Otherwise Sony is the only one I have intrest in.

What about Atari, Coleco or Mattel? I guess the 2600, the ColecoVision and the Intellivision weren't that legendary, LOL

Don't forget my favorite the SEGA? They were supposed to bury Nintendo but I guess Nintendo had other ideas. Still remember to this day getting the Sega Master System and the Sega Genesys and how much I loved playing those games. To this day I still resent Nintendo but maybe that's for another discussion. Ever since then it's been Sony Playstation for me!!!!!

As much as I hate to say it, and to my astonishment the other day, I totally forgot my laptop was a Toshiba

. And it's a way better laptop than most twice its price. So I'd buy something from them if it came out
