Good film, but wasn't blown away like some have been, though Jenkins is definitely one to watch. Will definitely pick it up on Blu-ray at some point though!

I like it but the whole notion
[Show spoiler]he never had any sexual activity between the handjob/kiss on the beach and the film's final moments
is absolutely bullshit and a total literary conceit which doesn't work. The whole fonts visual metaphor of him hiding his true self is total first year film studies.

I found it far too broad brushed to be really convincing but it had genuinely great moments, particularly in some of its sound design.

And last 10-15 min were so Wong Kar Wai, reminded me a lot of both Chungking Express and Happy Together.

This.

Also, I just love to see André Holland and Mahershala Ali in anything, let alone something getting awards attention (not that it necessarily deserves anything like Best Picture or Best Director at the Oscars).

Happy this is getting a Blu-Ray release, hoping it gets a decent wide release next week, but I'm not holding my breath.
