Default Did anyone get the new Xbox S for movies (BD or UHD)?

I only found one system review with a movie playback focus:

http://www.thedigitalcinema.info/#!blank-4/b2xuv

So far it doesn't look too good, but I'm sure the system will be updated soon.

Later this month, the $299 unit will launch and no doubt many will be watching.

If anyone picked up a system or found other reviews please post up.

I plan to. I'm waiting for the black version of the S and then i'll jump on board. White is too tacky.

I was going to, but ended up buying a bundle on Prime Day so now I don't need the One S.

The Gears bundle comes with a red custom system, which looks great.

But...it costs $449 and I would prefer to not over spend since I already have a base PS4.

I'm mainly interested in the Xbox S as a low cost media box..we'll see.

I did. Everything works fine, they say ATMOS and X are being looked at, I think it will work eventually.

I was going to get it, but I found a Samsung uhd player for $270 and couldn't pass that up.

No Xbone for me, but I'm planning on buying the PS4 Neo/PS4K as there are starting to accumulate a lot of PS4 games I want. Hopefully I am able to sell my Samsung player (and my extra Martian UHD Blu-ray which came with it).

If I didn't already own the Samsung player, I would have--seems like a no-brainer if someone needs a UHD player, a free game system along with it!

Getting the Gears bundle for this as well, thought it also helped that it includes the $100 ultimate edition of Gears of War 4 for Xbox and PC, as well as digital copies of the first 4 games (of course, that's only a selling point of you're in it for the gaming system as well.)

Getting the whole Gears franchise would be sweet for me as a Sony-guy, but I noticed that they're going to charge $75 if you want another red controller.

As for Neo, waiting for one of those doesn't actually give me access to any new games...so my interest there is fairly low.

And no more than that.

I do not buy that MS will get native audio codec bitstreaming working. They didn't on the last version either.

I've no interest in updating my Xbox One, I only got it at Christmas. I'll probably update my PS4, though. It's had one hard-drive failure already, so I'd rather get some change for it via trade-in ASAP.
