Thanks for any insight. The rep I spoke to at Netflix was clueless.

Netflix never adopted 3D bluray rentals, and its highly unlikely they will start renting 4k blurays.
The place to rent 4k blu ray and 3 D movies is at http://www.store-3D blurayrentals.com. You can select a subscription plan or rent individual selection, the 2 rentals per month is the way to go for $6.99.

I called v stock by my house and they said they rent out 4k discs there. I asked for The Revenant and they said it was $4.99 for a week I think. I might try it either this weekend or next weekend and post back here. I'm not sure the pricing is different on new releases like if I decide to get the The Huntsman next week. I called Family Video to, but they don't rent 4k titles yet, but I think they might because sometimes they do have 3d titles.
