Default Best Buy recycles old, scratched CD's/DVD's & non-working DVD/Blu players

Hey guys - unusual question here, I know - and, I don't like creating new threads. However, just wanted to throw this out to anyone who may have more knowledge about this than I do:

I just got Rambo (2008) on Blu from Target for a great price ($5.00 before tax). And, as it turns out, this comes with a Digital copy. I never use these anyway, and in this case it's completely useless to me since the code expired in 2009.

So, is there anyplace that anyone knows about that will recycle this expired Digital Copy DVD? I don't think a normal recycling drop-off bin will take this - however, I was just wondering if anyone knew of places that recycled electronics like this (if a DVD is considered something electronic, which I guess it might be).

I've looked this up online, and it seems the only places that do this are ones where you have to pay to ship them out - not worth it to me, especially since I only have 1 at this point.

If this were a regular DVD I didn't want, I'd just donate it to the library - but, an expired digital copy won't do anyone any good.

I could just throw this out, but would prefer to recycle this - if possible.

Thanks in advance for any info. on this....
