Default ImagiGARY (2015)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2404579/

Charlie McDermott (Axl on TV's The Middle) co-wrote and directed this small film about a boy whose imaginary friend returns to complicate his college life. (think Drop Dead Fred)

Starring: Charlie McDermott (The Middle), Nate Hartley, Haley Ramm (X-Men: The Last Stand), and Brian Dunn, with appearances by The Middle co-stars Eden Sher, Neil Flynn, and Chris Kattan.

The full film is available to buy as an HD digital download for just five bucks (or rent for $3) here: https://imagigary.com/

I watched this today and enjoyed it. I would give it a solid 3/5.
It is clearly a first film and feels very independent - personal, small in scope, a few rough edges - and the titular imaginary friend here is played a little too over-the-top and immature (but I suppose maybe that was kind of the point), but it was entertaining, and really shows that McDermott has some serious potential should he choose to further pursue directing. As an actor he is great and I hope he gets bigger roles. Both he and (tv sibling) Eden Sher deserve it. I love The Middle. It's probably the best and most underrated sitcom on broadcast network TV.
