I'm an Xbox gamer, is a Playstation avatar like a profile picture? If so, $20 is beyond outrageous for a profile picture. That has to be some sort of mistake.

Some would say the same about paying $50 or $60 for peer to peer online multiplayer allowance

It's too bad they don't let you upload your own avatar or art instead of depending on what they offer at a cost, which is one reason they restrict it.

PS Home actually sold a considerable amount of crap to people and made money I heard as a result. The support in the respect if what they wanted to really do with it is what waned.

With the tech we have now, if they rebuilt a social world like that, it might be a lot better received and play a lot better as well as loading faster. There is one being developed like Home but can't remember the name its got.

Probably. But it's surely not the only reason.
When you let people upload their own pictures, then you would get vayaya avatars. And penis avatars. And Nazi symbol avatars etc. I guess some of those could get Sony into trouble.

On here and other forums that only works because there are mods + admins, that will ban such people.

Although if you make friends with people and share real names, you see their personally chosen pictures which could be those things.

I think free avatars are sufficient enough.
