I just bought a Motorola DCH3416 Dual tuner HD cable box. Comcast refuses to activate it,because it is not in their system? I told them I had instructions from the sellers website,to give them the UA adress, and the serial # and the said that they don't sell cable boxees so they won't activate it. There was a law passed on July 1st 2007, allowing private citizens to own their own boxes...What the ? Anyone that can help, or have done the same, who can give me advice, I would greatly appreciate it....def

If there is a law, you should call the BBB about it.

If they still don't do anything, contact your local newspaper. They love fishing out stories about corporations doing illegal stuff, and the BBB attempt creates a paper trail...
