Hi everyone,
Just a question. Since Blu-ray.com is the biggest 4K/Blu-ray/DVD focused online community, is there any way we can more clearly voice desire to buy unproduced discs on this website? (other than chirping in the forums, or clicking "want" on the buried film pages) What if there was something highlighted on the homepage which said: "Most wanted disc releases - as voted by our community" Then broken down into genres or categories from there. Even "most wanted this month" or "this year". Like most, I'm concerned by films and shows that may never get physical releases. This was unthinkable even 5yrs ago, but now there are dozens of releases that may never get a proper release. I don't want the film industry to end up being nothing more than a pipeline of virtual content they can shuffle, swap, edit or censor - leaving viewers no choice but to suck on what's coming down the stream pipe, on any given day. Plus, I like the collecting factor. Nothing I'm saying here is new, except - maybe this website could do a bit more to actually highlight our demand for physical media, over time? Rather than just the "want" link on specific films (which as I said, is a bit buried). And if this feature exists already - my apologies! As you were. |
