Do you really care about online games or is it something that you could care less about. There are alot of online games but do you care if you can play online?

It certainly adds another dimension of gameplay - and I'm more likely to replay the game when it's against people - not bots. I still like my single player campaigns, though. I need my personal space sometimes.

Yes, I do care about. (I bought warhawk, so I have to )

I´m not a PC gamer,
so...
It´s cool to play Online on your console with differnet people from different countrys who are interested in the same games.
(and even talk with them via Blue-tooth headset)

I don´t have to play EVERY game online, bit it´s just a nice add to it.

And when "Metal Gear Online" is coming.... ohhhhh yesssssssss !!!!

Online gaming is the main reason i bought a PS3 , having a next generation blu-ray player for gaming and movies is a bonus but i bought it to have both but i wouldnt be in it as far as i am if online gaming wasnt an option .

There's too many possible irritations with an online game (people talking, glitching/exploiting, technical issues) so given the choice I much prefer a solid single player game.

The ONLY way to play is to play online. Nothing quite matches the satisfaction one gets from killing someone online who is claiming to be a 12-year-old and then insulting his mother. Pure poetry.

I had never played online until I played Resistance

While I do prefer a great single player game there is something very satisfying about blowing someone up with a grenade while they are too busy sniping to notice you.

Option 3, I like both. There are some games I really like playing online, then there are others I just want to play by myself.

It is rare now that games will have both without sacrificing one of them. Call of Duty 4 is close, but the single player is way too short. 4 hours of single player story isn't much. But the online is quite good.

Agreed! I played everquest & phantasy star online when they came out. I will never play an mmorpg ever again. Other online gaming, particularly of the FPS kind kills me too. I play games to escape reality not set it up in a different venue. Hoozah for single player action.

I'm not much into FPS, so online games hold little interest for me.

That being said, I did give a year and a half of my life away to FFXI. Dangerously addictive. I would say that co-op modes are a definite selling point of online play, but competetive-style gameplay rarely is my thing. For one point, I play games mostly for story, and as a side to that, I play to win. Having reasonably dumb enemy AI is kind of a prerequisite to make most games playable. If all baddies had human intellect, you would reach a stalemate quickly and it would be incredibly difficult to progress the story.

I think GT5 will change my perspective of that though. There are certain types of games where computer AI just doesn't stand a chance.

It's important for example Virtual Tennis 3 would have been hella better if there was online.

I think online is stupid. All you hear these days is online. People dont realise it just makes games get worse. Games should be played like they are suppose to and with online people dont even look at the purpose of the game. The story and gameplay is the most important part in games and these days if you dont have online on a game it gets bad scores. Example Halo is supposed to be the god of all games, BULL, I beat Halo 3 in 6 hours and never looked at it again because I am not a online person. If Halo 3 didnt have online what would it have, nothing and thats why I dont like online games because it takes all the good things from other games.

Yes i care, especially if its an FPS. The most dangerous prey in the world is a human... Thats why playing games like counterstrike never gets old
