Default OLED65C6P for gaming?

I am about to purchase this TV but wanted to ask you kind folks if you know how it is for gaming. I heard there is heavy input lag on OLEDs. Has this been fixed with newer models?

Thanks

I am going to get it at best but for $3999.99

anyone know of a cheaper place? I see it on Ebay for 3000, but I am leary about that.

We've measured input lag at 34ms.

I bought this TV a few weeks ago and love it. Best gaming TV I have ever played on.

The lag is not noticeable for me in game mode when playing content that is not HDR. 34ms sounds about right. When I play Gears of War 4 the TV switches to HDR mode and game mode can no longer be applied. The lag is noticeable going from regular game mode to HDR, but it has not affected my enjoyment of playing the game.

The picture quality is amazing especially when playing in a dark room. Check out RTINGS.com review of this TV. They gave it an 8.9 score for gaming. http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/c6
I have a PC Gaming Rig, Xbox One and PS4 hooked up, and all look and play amazing on the OLED65C6P.

There is a thread on the AVS forum that specifically talks about gaming lag for this TV. Look for this thread “OLED Lag Time Discussion-B6, C6, E6…” in the OLED Technology section if the forum. There are also AVS Forum Sponsor retailers selling the TV for much less than $4K.

Amazon is selling it for $3297 here. I got the 55-inch on amazon, they give you options for different delivery times and have a special delivery service for it, the delivery guys will bring it in to whatever room you want.

Looks like one Amazon seller jumped the gun and listed LG's authorized sale price that begins next week. Guess it's fair game on Friday after 5pm when LG's managers go home to list sales that start Sunday.

Some authorized dealers also offer additional benefits.

Personally, I'm not a gamer but If I was, I wouldn't be playing games on a $4,000.00 HDTV that's for sure. I would buy a very cheap HDTV use specifically for gaming, and use the more expensive HDTV for movies, and regular TV viewing. Strictly not for games!

That is such a weird attitude to have... Video games can look just as amazing on a good tv as a movie (albeit in different ways, of course). Why go high end for one form of visual entertainment, but cheap out for another?

Sometimes people don't want to be paying so much money for a TV and have it be poor in gaming performance. I would never buy an OLED TV that can't possibly do everything I need it to do which is to play games, movies and regular TV viewing in a good way. It's why I love my current TV and will not upgrade until an OLED or rumoured QLED comes out and offers sub 25ms input lag and top notch 4K HDR performance.
