Producers for the prequel movie include Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder. ∆

I’m wondering if the prequel will have zombies or how they can be a threat. Given in the main film that character has never killed zombies before and doesn’t know to fight them (basically the character used so rules can be explained to the audience)

I don't think this is a zombie film. They have described it as a rom-com, heist film.

I gotta say, I liked the character, but he did not make that much of an impression on me in Army of the Dead.

Apparently there will be some zombies in the film, but I'm going to assume Dieter won't be killing any of them to fit in with his lack of skill in Army.

The director is being a bit coy about it:

It's also likely we'll only see zombies in news footage and whatnot.

It is more like a spin-off than a prequel.

Even though it might feature some zombies, the movie is not about zombies at all.
