Default Need to upgrade Sony xbr55x810c in future

Can anyone give me suggestions for what would be a slight 4k tv upgrade for my Sony xbr55x810c if I decide to replace it. Price 600-1000 or so...will be watching lots of 4k movies. Not much gaming
Thanks

Save your money and wait until Sony Oled comes out with Dolby Vision would be what I would suggest. That's what I am doing but It will be a couple years before I upgrade again.

This is the reason why I'm holding off on getting another TV. Our current one does not have HDR. My understanding is that newer TV's will have HDR and Dolby Vision both. I can wait for that.

Easy for you to say when you have a 930d to hold you over, he doesnt.

The only upgrades in that price range would be sony 930d or samsung ks8000. Tho the 930d may be slightly out of it.

Sony 930d I heard Samsung Ks8000 has some light bleed but I know some owners on this site are happy with the Samsung. I prefer the Sony Obviously I am a little bios since I own it but I did check out the Samsung before I bought my TV back in June.

Yea I am really happy with it. I did a lot of research back when I bought it and read through AVS forum. It took a little while playing around with it to get the perfect settings. I have not had any issues at all with it. Great Black levels also.

For tv viewing the 930d is better, but for serious gaming the Samsung is better.

May I ask you guys about the hdmi cables you are using for the 930d or others. Best Buy convinced me to get expensive ones by audio quest(forest, and one other kind), they may have seen me coming from a mile away -being new to all this .
also what length of hdmi are you using?
