Question Are you fed up of sequels?

I know this is slightly contradictory to my other thread about sequels, but it seems to be something that many talk about in various other threads, so I thought I should set up a new one that is completely dedicated to it. (Sorry if there is already one set up.)

So, are you fed up of sequels? Because this is something that I've been thinking about for a while now, and I've come to the conclusion that the 'charm' of sequels has worn off. Several years ago it was a novelty for a sequel to come out and audiences were excited to see a new one. However that novelty is no longer there because of how many are coming out nowadays.

The other part that annoys me is the way studios are turning an original film into a franchise, just by comissioning a sequel that will inevitably lead to another sequel or more.
I know this isn't the best example, but it is the most recent; take Sex and the Cityas an example, forgetting about how bad the sequel is, did that film warrent another? No, it didn't, and this is the problem as there wasn't anything to add onto the original. (Who thinks Sarah Jessica Parker is attractive anyway?)

In my view there is only one sequel coming out this year that really needs to be released, and that is Toy Story 3, because who can hate Toy Story? It's been more than 10 years since the last film and the first two are still extremely popular and audiences actually want another one, and they've got it. I am easily going to see this the day it comes out and am so glad there's a third.

But what are your views on all the upcoming sequels?

Oh, and as an after thought, you could also include remakes in this thread too.
