Default Why are blu releases so bad lately?

I've noticed many blu ray releases are inconsistent and cheap lately.

Most of them are tv shows. Some seasons being released with subtitles, others don't include them, no slipcover, some new seasons are not even announced.

And the extras, some of them don't even include anything anymore.

Nothing you mentioned is new. The same type of stuff have been happening for many years now. . If anything, some of the things mentioned are getting better. Kino will be having subs on all future titles, same with Olive. More and more catalog titles are coming out and somoe from 4K restorations. Older TV seasons are trickling out, even if they're from bargain labels like Mill Creek.
