I learned to use Lucid Dreaming to face and overcome nightmares. And I could do it easily when fully aware that I'm dreaming and it's not real. So I'm not too worried. Being attacked by the shark in the shark cage in VR didn't bother me at all.

But having said that. In a game, even in VR, even though less realistic than a dream. One is much more limited. So we'll see... I know Dying Light was pretty freaky when I first started playing it and my character was really weak. For some reason I was afraid to die in that game for a while.

Horror games and horror movies, yes, though I rarely connect to PS4 unless it's for a new demo, update or new content, being an offline gamer most times. Evil Within, P.T. Silent Hills, were two recent enjoyable horror games but a nice number on the way.

Even though I am looking forward to it, it's a shame Capcom felt the need to transform RE7 into a first person VR game.

I don't really understand what that game is about. Looks like they have gotten away from the Resident Evils I've seen in the movies. Watched a few versions of the demo and from that it's just walking around a creepy house trying to find the way out. I know there is more to it lol. But the demo doesn't give me much concept of what the game is.

Whatever it is it works well but I just wished they would have created a whole new horror game with that. RE7 should at least have been third person and preferably like the Revelation games but with less shooting/action and more horror/puzzles.

Outlast, I only got to watch the game in a video, and watched Outlast 2's opening cornfield and house demonstration, but still haven't played either of them, though I hear great things about the horror.

I'm hoping Resident Evil 7 can capture some of the horror of Silent Hills PT. Near the end of the demo, after watching the video in the VCR in the house, the tension amped up a bit and finally started to affect the horror mood I was waiting for. Instead of going into the basement, I quickly exited that locked from door. The mannequins are neat, though I wouldn't say they were scary unless I was watching Tourist Trap, the old classic horror movie with Chuck Conners. The ones in Silent Hill Downpour on PS3 were effective also now that I think back to it.

Yeah, I haven't found any news on an Evil Within 2 game. Hopefully that team is working on a new horror game (this time with better textures for PS4 since the art work is great). I think if there is a sequel, they won't have to plan it for PS3 as they did with Evil Within.
