Default Mr. and Mrs. Smith Audio

I have a bdp-s300 and the dolby digital sound signal isnt coming through my receiver for this movie, any ideas? I dont think I've updated firmware since I've had it, could this be why?

That's because for the English track this movie uses DTS-HD.

Does your receiver decode DTS?

How is your receiver hooked up to your player, and is your player set to bitstream the audio or decode it by itself?

I'm not sure. I have it hooked up with a digital coax, but also tried the optical digital cable as well.

First off, update the firmware. Second, does your reciever decode DTS? It'd have the DTS logo on it if it did. If it doesn't, you'll need to let the player do the decoding and listen to the movie in stereo. If that's the case, you may want to upgrade your reciever as I am assuming it's pretty old if it doesn't decode DTS.
