Those look like cool collections. I almost expected the Ant and the Aardvark shorts to be on a Pink Panther set, but this is cool too.

Wow, great news.

Definitely in for the first two, KL Cartoons Volume 1: THE ANT AND THE AARDVARK (17 Classic Cartoons) and KL Cartoons Volume 2: THE INSPECTOR (34 Cartoons) (2 Discs). Love those cartoons.

Me too.

Does anyone think these could be upscales?
I hadn't heard anything about restoration on these.

The first three were re-mastered in HD by MGM. We will re-master the other 6 in HD ourselves. Kino does not release upscales.

I asked Kino on Facebook if the cartoons will be original full screen or mated theatrical widescreen (hoping for the former!). Awaiting response.

If I read the times correctly this thread here was created first. (it shows to me it was posted at 06:03 PM (in my timezone obviously) while yours shows 10:21 PM )
So, why you created another one?

We will do everything possible to release these the right way. All of us want to see them in their original ratio.

Has anyone seen the previous MGM releases of Inspector and A&A. Were they matted?

So without seeing our masters... I guess our releases will also be in the original full screen and not matted. And of course, we will transfer the other 6 in their original aspect ratio. We will do the necessary research and make sure they're released properly.

These sets look so awesome. Channels would often use these cartoons to fill holes in their schedules back in the day.

Thank you! When it comes to this, it's original full screen or nothing!

EDIT: Release Date from Kino's Facebook!:
"The tentative street dates for these are late November - they should be available for pre-orders in August."
