Those look like cool collections. I almost expected the Ant and the Aardvark shorts to be on a Pink Panther set, but this is cool too.

I hadn't heard anything about restoration on these.

The first three were re-mastered in HD by MGM. We will re-master the other 6 in HD ourselves. Kino does not release upscales.

I asked Kino on Facebook if the cartoons will be original full screen or mated theatrical widescreen (hoping for the former!). Awaiting response.

We will do everything possible to release these the right way. All of us want to see them in their original ratio.

The DVDs you mean?
From what I remember they are full screen

So without seeing our masters... I guess our releases will also be in the original full screen and not matted. And of course, we will transfer the other 6 in their original aspect ratio. We will do the necessary research and make sure they're released properly.

These sets look so awesome. Channels would often use these cartoons to fill holes in their schedules back in the day.
