Default Emilia Clarke to Star in 'The Beauty Inside' for Fox 2000, Temple Hill

Quote:
The pitch from Scott Neustadter & Michael H. Weber is based on a South Korean film that was an adaptation of a web series from Drake Doremus.
Fox 2000 and Temple Hill have landed a hot pitch from The Fault in Our Stars screenwriters Scott Neustadter & Michael H. Weber, with Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke attached to star.

The pitch, which hit the town Wednesday, caught the interest of several studios and producers. It's an adaptation of the 2015 South Korean film The Beauty Inside -- which was itself an adaptation of an innovative 2012 web series by Drake Doremus.

The pitch's path begins back in 2012 when Doremus directed a social film developed by Intel and Toshiba. Starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Topher Grace, the film had six episodes that included interactive storytelling that gave the audience a chance to be a part of the film. It became a cult hit, and won a daytime Emmy for Outstanding New Approach to an Original Daytime Program or Series.

The story centered on a man who wakes up every day in a different body -- and the woman who loved him no matter what he looked like on the outside.

The 2015 South Korean Film, directed by Baik, brought this story to the big screen and starred Kim Sang-ho, Kim Min-jae, Jo Dal-hwan.

In Fox 2000's version, Clarke will play the woman who falls for the man with the body-switching disorder. Several actors will be cast to play the male lead.

Along with Fox 2000 and Temple Hill, Greg Chou is producing.

Clarke's star has been quickly rising since she began starring as Daenerys on HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones. She’s recently been cast in the Star Wars Han Solo film with Alden Ehrenreich. She was most recently seen in romance Me Before You and auctioneer Terminator Genisys. She’s repped by CAA and Emptage Hallett in the UK.

Odd three actors the article points out of the Korean film, when they aren't even the stars of the film. Anyways, I did quite enjoy the Korean version (on Netflix for anyone interested). That film was actually able to get quite a few stars to be in the roles. I imagine this one will be a lot of C or D rate actors to fill the 20 odd roles for the character.
Meh, not exactly something I look forward to, but we'll see.
