as revealed at another forum through a guessing game, TT has confirmed that La Bamba will an upcoming TT bd release.
no other details at this time.

Man, this is weird. I was JUST completely randomly thinking about La Bamba and the possibility of TT releasing it yesterday, I haven't seen that thread. But great news!

It's a very good film. Lou Diamond Phillips is terrific.

this flick is good and all, but I'm not paying 30+ for this release, especially bare bones.

La Bamba was all the rage when it came out in theaters during my high school years. I rented the movie as soon as it was available at the VHS rental places, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I never saw the movie again after that, though, and it really dropped off the face of the Earth.

I don't see myself purchasing this Blu-ray, but I am glad that the movie has not been forgotten.

I don't have a problem with TT's business model per se, but this is a title that is not worth ~$35 to me.

Good times with this film. Tragic story but a total product of' 80s film making even though it doesn't take place in the 80s!

Yes!!!! I'll have absolutely NO problem forking over $34.99 for this seeing as it's easily one of my favorite biopics. Can't wait!

It's Twilght Time and usually an isolated score is included at least so I don't get this where this barebones idea comes from. And as of late, TT has been provided supplemental elements for a few of these Sony licensed releases.

still it's pretty basic and La Bamba isn't a movie I would see selling out anytime soon especially at that price.

But those have all been existing dvd features so far. IIRC, this dvd is bare-bones, so isolated score foo those into them, and not much else... or

Nevermind, I just looked into it and the dvd has 2 comms, 2 videos and a featurette. If recent actions from TT and Sony mean anything, these will probably come along.

Never seen it before, but I really enjoyed Shouts release of The Idolmaker earlier this year and they are in the same vein.....so a maybe purchase for me. Will wait a bit for a possible import release though.
