Default Blu-ray/DVD Combo Packs

I'm sure this has been brought up before but I figure it's Friday morning and I might as well rant just a bit. Anyone else getting really tired of companies including DVDs in Blu-ray packages? In 2017, with 4K UHDs beginning to take hold is it fair for companies to fleece consumers by charging a $100+ list price for an 8 Disc Box Set (4 of which are DVDs)? Let's be honest, if we are buying Blu-rays how many are using these DVDs at all? If this were the 1980s/90s this would be akin to record companies including an 8 Track with purchase of your CD, and charging you a premium price to own them both. I applaud the studios who separate the formats and keep their prices down. 10 years into the Blu-ray format, how is this still happening?
