Default El Orfanato aka The Orphanage

I went to see this movie in San Francisco tonight, I was pleased. The film was very well made just like Pan's Labyrinth. It was a bit freaky, thrilling and a little sad at times. At the ending you can't help but think back at a lot of scenes that end up making a lot more sense. This movie has a Spanish cast and is subtitled.

Anyone else see it yet?

I saw this today. If I had not read the reviews prior to seeing it I think I would have enjoyed it more. It was a good story, but the reviews said this film could take horror/thriller movies in a whole new direction. I was not thrilled, horrified or even filled with suspense. I kept waiting for it, but it never happened. This is a movie about a mother and her missing son that is maybe slightly spooky. I don't have kids, but I think even if I did I would still feel the same. I'd like to say what annoyed me about this movie (stupidity of the main character) but I don't want to spoil anything. I'll just say that I immediately knew how to find the kid. I'd recommend seeing this movie because it's a good story that's pretty much told in a new way. Just don't expect to be thrilled or scared.
