Default Film Scores You Wish You Owned

Are there any film scores you wish you owned?

I'd love the film scores for Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II.

There is one I have a small sample of via a taster cd to Hemsdale Films, it contains samples for "The River's Edge" a hauntingly beautiful synth based sound by Jurgen Knieper. I would dearly LOVE to own the soundtrack to that film.

I, in the end, consider myself lucky to have the cd I do have. with 2 beautiful (truncated) soundtracks.

I don't know about "owned" but I'd like to see Stanley Myers' score for Dreamchild get a release one day.

I've got the first. Along with tons of other scores. More than half my music collection is film scores and soundtracks.

I'd really like to own the expanded soundtracks from Intrada, for Back to the Future, Home Alone, and Hook. I also wish they'd have done 2-disc score albums for The Force Awakens, and all the prequels.

Mine, too; the rest is a mix of CCM, country, soft rock, and Christmas music.

Pretty cool to see the love for film scores as of late. Anyway there are tons I want to own...Tons. I'm buying most I want on vinyl over time and that isn't cheap. Until I get though I just have most of what I want downloaded on Google Play.

Also kinda related I'm excited for March I'm going to Monster Mania in New Jersey where Alan Howarth will be performing. He worked with John Carpenter on many of his iconic scores. He'll be performing stuff from Halloween, They Live, and a few others. I'm hoping to get the Halloween Season of the With vinyl from Mondo and have him sign it.

I'd die a happy woman if Ry Cooder's complete score for Southern Comfort (plus Balfour Brothers tracks) were released. Le sigh.

We need a proper expanded release of it that has the music in its original presentation and not the way it was presented in the film.

The Ultimate Edition was such a missed opportunity.

I've been fortunate to own most of all scores I really wanted.

The first Silent Hill movie would have been one sticky point for me--no official soundtrack was ever released for it anywhere. But, as I understand it all tracks they used would have been the same as the games, so I got the game OSTs instead (a really nice 9-disc box set from Japan). If they could release one for the movie, I guess it'd just be movie-specific cues and edits, but it would be redundant.

Prequels.

I wish some Gladiator tracks were extended so i don't have to keep rewinding the best 45 seconds of the tracks.

Yeah, true. But it'd be nice to have.

I've been dragging my feet on buying the LOTR scores, I just want a set with the complete scores for all three films (if such a thing exists). Need to get the expanded Hobbit scores, too.

Need to buy all the expanded, remastered Bond scores, too. I have a handful of them, but not all.

Revenge of the Sith is definitely one I want. The final scenes especially.

Is there an official release of the Goldeneye score that has the tank sequence music from the film on it?

This site has a listing of basically everything. If it isn't on here it probably isn't released.

Yeah I've looked there before, it's a great site. I guess the answer is "no," then

Sweet, thanks. I'd go digital if that's the only affordable option. As much as I'd like to have them, they're not so essential that I'll pay an arm and a leg.
