Default Crash Course for the Uninitiated

Hi all.

I apologize if this isn't the right place to ask this, but I recently did a media room upgrade and am now UHD/4K compatible. Is there a good crash course to get up-to-speed on all the new hardware, audio, and video terms and specifications?

Thanks.

The forum area you are in "Ultra HD Blu-ray and 4K Hardware and Technology" is the right place to learn the latest in HDR and multi channel audio.

Are you considering a TV or front projector?

For Audio I suggest a 5.2.4 Dolby Atmos configuration.

Thanks! I recently upgraded my display to an LG OLED65E6P and my player to an Oppo UDP-203; but my budget was limited so I bought an older Marantz SR7010 refurb because I knew I would be forced to leave my 7.1 speaker setup in place for the time being.

I liked to find some resources where I can learn about newer sound formats like Dolby Atmos and various advances in speaker configurations because I really haven't kept up with it. The last time I researched this stuff, 7.1 was bleeding edge.
