That spine art looks atrocious with the two completely different logo styles side by side

At least actual text on the flipping spine and no dumb faces.

...

Wow, love the interior.

Oh I see... But it's just a repeat of the front titles. Are you okay with them there?

Here's what I mean.

See how the "Walt Disney" font is the traditional curvy, but then you have the blocky Star Wars-esque styling of the film title? They clash badly and would definitely stand out more on a shelf than the character-picture thing that Disney has going on, and not in a good way.

The only prob I have is the title on the spine looks too small, which makes me think it may be temporary. I don't really have a prob with them using the same title treatment as the front.

I get what you're saying, the harsh black title doesn't match with the artwork, either on the front or the spine.

But of course, everyone assumes we are just complaining about UK ratings logos.

I'm hoping it's temporary artwork.

Strange that it has "Walt" on the cover, they dropped that some years ago. It's a pity they couldn't have finished the rest of the Disney Classics steelbook range before they started rehashing ones they've already done.

I like the contrast between the two logos, actually, but the movie title does end up looking a little small. I don't think any official logo for the movie has ever had all three words on one line; it's always THE on top and LION KING below. So that's what they were stuck with, and it's difficult on a narrow spine.

Doesn't bother me, though. It's a nice-looking steel, but overpriced. I don't think the first version was one of the most impressive designs in the series, and neither is this one, but they're both fine.

This, the black outline looks jarring. In fact, the artwork itself isn't that great. Just a rehash of the old DVD, it seems.

Jesus H...re-releasing Disney steelbooks already. How about finishing some of the other classics first.

I will stick with my BB viva case.
