I'm thinking about my next upgrade, and it's gonna be to Atmos. I currently have 8ish year old Energy speakers.
Would the Samsung HW-K950/ZA 5.1.4 Channel Soundbar with Dolby Atmos Technology be a significant upgrade? Im trying to replace my current big floorstanding speakers for space reasons and figured Atmos should be the next step. I want atmos but I can't really install speakers in/on my walls. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I0HW12O/ref=olp_product_details?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3UQQ9 LH733PZ2&coliid=I3I8CUE7NVAH7&me= I just got a TCL P-series 55" 4k with hdr and dv, a LG UP970 (which will get DV upgrade this year), and a Onkyo TX-NR656 (which will get DV upgrade this year). |

If you have a 5.1 with all floor standing speakers, then no, the soundbar wouldn't be an upgrade. If stereo, then yes, in terms of surround coverage.
The reflective speakers are fine as long as you keep expectations in check. |
