I will get these since I am a HUGE Miyazaki fan, but I really don't like how everything is enclosed within a small circle. If only the artwork expanded the entire Steelbook; this could have been iconic like the original Japanese poster for this film.

That's a first-world problem compared to the silver instead of white finish

I agree, this is the reason I haven't purchased any of these. I prefer the colorful slipcases of the regular editions.

The 1980's JAL dub (which, honestly, isn't all that great) will probably never be rereleased on any form again. It was at one point available on the first Japanese R2 DVD, but that version has since fallen out of print.

A newer Japanese R2 DVD, based on the HD master, has the Disney version (albeit the somewhat revised one -- the rescore by Hisaishi is intact on the dub, but the extra lines are gone -- the uncut Disney dub is on the 2003 DVD; the U.S. BD omits both the extra lines AND the rescore for the dub, using only the Japanese music).

Anyway, no need for me to own this, because I already have the Japanese BD.

Still, great for anyone to own this masterpiece who didn't do so the first time.

I haven't really been following these (I had the first four but sold them) - am I right in thinking that they are doing steels only for the Miyazaki titles? Kind of blows any chance of a matching, complete Ghibli collection if that is so...
