If you’re straight edge and/or into hardcore, The Edge of Quarrel is a recommended “so bad it’s good” shot-on-VHS movie. The basic story is a love triangle that pits straight edge hardcore kids against punks in Seattle.

Members of Undertow, The Murder City Devils and other Seattle area hardcore and punk bands act in the film, there are lots of great 80s and 90s hardcore shirts worn by many of the characters, and there are live performances by Trial, Botch and The Murder City Devils.

My friends and I watched it constantly when we were in highs school. I still have the VHS that I bought at a Champion show.

I wouldn’t recommend this film to anyone that isn’t into straight edge or hardcore though. Most of its appeal is due to the references it contains and the overall novelty factor.

ill have to check it out, I have been straight edge since since I was 17th I'm 31 now, but not too much Into the hardcore scene.
