Default All of these great announcements...what's next week?

So we have had all these great announcements this weekend(WB and Newline exclusive, Disney and FOX titles coming this year), but what is CES going to hold for us with all these annoucements this weekend. I know new title announcements is a given, but is that all we should expect?

Looking for some insight from my fellow blu supporters...

I wouldn't doubt we hear some encouraging news from Universal and Paramount.

We should also hear about new profile 2.0 players.

I'm waiting to hear about a new samsung blu only player that is 1.1 if not 2.0 and im hoping it will be at a decent price. I need another player for my bedroom.

I'm hoping now that New line is exclusive we will hear thier upcoming line up for this year. I am sure it will include LOTR, but im more interested in seeing the number 23 and wedding crashers coming out, hopefully by February.

we are certain to hear of new titles coming, however im not so sure how many release dates will be associated with the titles. But i am very excited to see what we can expect. I hope at least when the titles are annouced we will at least get confirmation that it will be released sometime in '08.

Also i really believe that Weistien co will announce bluray titles since they havent released a title on hd-dud since last summer. Not sure how many of thier titles i would purchase because i dont know what they have put out but another company on board is always good news. And if they have some good titles i will def pick them up. I also think HBO will announce exclusivity as well, hopefully they will announce band of brothers for a very soon release date. Dont care how much that cost i will buy it day one!!!

Well i am off to get a new dvd rack because mine is going to be filled completely come thurs next week. my amazon BOGO titles are coming in plus the new releases(the rock, con air, sunshine, man on fire, 3:10 to yuma)

Universal will go BLU leaving Parahump.

Toshiba will, like I said a few weeks ago, begin to build Blu Ray players at the factory they bought from SONY six weeks ago !

My prediction only....

If we had an announcement from Uni next week declaring they are going to start releasing blu movies soon i would leave work immediately, buy a case of beer, then go buy a few blu movies that i dont have yet and spend the rest of the night celebrating

i think we can expect weisntein to be blu-ray excluive. i wouldn't be shocked if universal went neutral. a retailer will drop dud next week. we have yet to see anytype of corporate response to this, besides the parties directly involoved, due to the nature of the timing (late fri, after business closed up for the weekend).

There could be a major retail backlash on monday, that we havn't even seen coming.

Here's what I expect:
* Weinstein Blu
* Hardware, hardware, hardware. All kinds of 1.1 and 2.0 players shown by all the usual major companies, and also some new companies.
* Possibility that Universal does some sort of non-specific "In light of recent developments in our industry, we would like to announce we'll have Blu-Ray titles at a future date in 2008. Specifics will be announced at a future date"...or something like this.
* I expect Paramount to go through with show of support for HD DVD as planned and contracted.
* All kinds of title announcements from Fox, Sony, Disney, and WB.

Hopefully some unknown new titles.
99% of all of the ones mentioned have been known about for some time.

I'm expecting some unannounced titles from FOX, Sony, WB, and possibly Disney. I would love to see Disney announce Lost season 1 and 2 with release dates very very soon. If that happened id pick up all three seasons at once.

There nothing much for the BDA to say. The warner announcement will only make blu-ray support stronger, so they should concentrate on growth
