Okay, I have a few questions and since I am new to the projector game I really don't know that much about them.
I am not looking to construct a home theater with seats and the 9 yards like some people do on here. I wish I could because they look fantastic. I just want to occasionally put up a screen, say 100-120 and watch a movie or go out on my deck and watch a football game at dusk etc. I currently watch my BDs and sports on a 65" Samsung TV. I know there are different aspect ratios, resolutions, etc. If you watch a BD on a projector that isn't 1080p will the picture still be good? Let's just say I bought a projector that had 16:10 aspect or even 4:3 aspect. Would the movie or game be squished or would there be black line above and below the picture? Is it even worth getting a projector that isn't 1080p if I want to watch movies? Again, I am not making a home theater but want to watch a movie bigger now and then. Will the picture be bad with a lesser resolution with BDs and HD programming and will the picture be squished? Thank you! if there is already a thread out there like this, I apologize. Please point me towards that if you can. |
