Found footage: the gimmick that keeps on giving!
Okay okay, so sometimes it's actually pretty cool and the goal here is to make a list about those times it doesn't totally blow chunks. This'll work basically like all those other threads I'm blatantly copying, albeit with a smaller than typical list size because... well... most people don't like this kind of movie very much. Please list anywhere from ten to fifteen movies presented mostly or entirely in the "found footage" format - regardless of genre, language, year, country of origin, or any of that other stuff - in descending order based on how much you liked them. Your #1 pick gets 10 "points" and #2 gets 9, so on and so forth down to #10, which gets 1 point. #11-15 also get one point each. List order for the results is determined by total number of points. If points are tied, the film that had the higher mean average ranking comes out on top. Other rules: If you want to include little blurbs on why you like the films feel free and I might include them in the results, but hey, no pressure. Editing lists after posting them is fine BUT if you do please PM me or make a new post in this thread to let me know so I can recount. No trolling or outright insulting people for their choices, though discussion and polite disagreement are fine. That said if you vote for The Devil Inside I will throw out your entire list. Okay not really. Probably. Oh, and since whether or not something is found-footage is much less subjective than things like genre classifications - if you have to ask whether it counts, no, it probably doesn't. Most importantly, the deadline: May 1st, 2017. It would be a shorter timeframe, but the found-footage film Phoenix Forgotten comes out on April 15th, so I'm giving folks two weekends to see it on the highly unlikely chance it turns out to be some kind of masterpiece. Have fun! |
