Here is the first poster. I believe we will get a longer trailer during the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Official synopsis:

Global icon Dwayne Johnson leads the cast of Legendary’s Skyscraper as former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and U.S. war veteran Will Ford, who now assesses security for skyscrapers. On assignment in China he finds the tallest, safest building in the world suddenly ablaze, and he’s been framed for it. A wanted man on the run, Will must find those responsible, clear his name and somehow rescue his family who is trapped inside the building…above the fire line.

The Rock is on a roll. Jumanji 3D was a box office hit and went up against The Last Jedi too, and now after the success of San Andreas 3D, he's got Rampage 3D and Skyscraper 3D on the way. He was good in Journey 2 3D as well. GI Joe Retaliation 3D he was in also, which has great 3D in the medium to strong range.

The story for this one is interesting and I'll check it out in theaters. If it was in 2D only, I'm not sure if I'd rush to see it, but in 3D, yes.

So it's a Towering Inferno ripoff crossed with The Fugitive?

Creatively bankrupt, but hell, sounds fun. Odd that it's coming from a comedy director.

Yep, the kiddie fiddling robot skit last year on SNL was beyond the pale, and I'll be forever reminded of it when I see his oversized face.

So what is the purpose of the "Digital" forum section? Hmmm. To tout the benefits of streaming and similar set ups as opposed to discs.

I liked the trailer, and yes it seemed much like Die Hard.

Though I like Dwayne and think hes great in everything he does. Ive been a big fan of his since The Rundown.

I love that hes playing an amputee character. I think this movie will be tons of fun.

Apparently, some people went to an advance Real D 3D showing of the film. Some actually liked it in the format.

I did get to see the 3D trailer for Skyscraper and I'm sorry to say, it's not looking too promising in terms of 3D layering and pop outs.

I'll say a low medium to medium layered 3D conversion based on the trailer anyway. Ant-Man and the Wasp's high medium to strong 3D really stood out and made this movie's 3D trailer pale in comparison. I'll still see it in 3D, but now I'm not as excited to see this Diehard-like remake with the Rock in it. If the 3D was awesome as GI Joe Retaliation's Mountain scene, where the Rock introduced it as a 3D preview scene back before it was released, then I'd be happy. I'll keep an open mind for the full film's 3D, but the trailer speaks loudly as to the quality of the 3D being more mild than strong.
