Default Samsung LNT4671F question

So I was at Circuit City yesterday and they had POTC in Blu on it. I don't know if I like the auto motion plus on it. It made the movie look more like a documentary. Who has seen this before and what do you think? I was thinking about buying it but now I am having second thoughts.

i agree it looks very weird. i would rather have a little judder at 60hz than have it look like this at 120hz.

Hey blu-buddy. I actually purchased this TV about a month ago. I absolutely love it. Witht the 71 series (4671) the auto motion is an option that can be turned on and off. Really cool if your watching PBS, but I certainly don't use it on my movies. It does look like a documentary. There are different setting for it. high, med and low. And you CAN SWITCH IT OFF. Don't let that deter you from the purchase. it has a 25,000:1 contrast ration. 3 HDMI's and the sweetest picture I owned yet. The next step up is LED and about another 1,000 dollars or so.

Basically it's like the tv inserts a frame in between two frames that makes all the movements smoother. If you aren't used to it, it is weird. research the tv and you'll get picture of what it is.

ive seen it work and it can sometimes look great sometimes look bleh. depends on the source

altho id honestly still say ur better off with a xbr4. if u thought priates looked good on the 71f it would be even better on the xbr4. and with the xbr4 like many have said u wanna said the motionflow to medium.

Both the xbr4 and samsung 71 have that motion enhancer.
I'd research both of them before buying into, since they both have their flaws.

I personally went with the xbr4.

I saw the same thing myself... looked very weird too me.

So I ended buying a plasma tv that night instead of the 71..

i've seen both of these and there's no difference in PQ, except one is a sony and one is a sammy. and i had already started a thread about this awhile ago.

the picture clarity is amazing, but its too smooth. objects seem to slide into place and the cut from scene to scene appears to be choppy, but its not. if you've seen this function enable you know what i'm talking about.

I researched this tv for quite a while, along with the xbr4/5 series, and personally liked the sammy. So I bought the 5271f. As it has been stated, you can turn this feature off. Research is your best friend.
