It doesn't sound like an actual ban of the film's release, but the threat of an organized protest against theaters so they are pressured not to release it. A ban would be if the Karnataka government stopped the release.

I'm sure Sathyaraj will apologize, and the film will be released. There is a lot of money at stake here.

I updated the link. Now it says it's banned
The actor should just apologize though. I mean he's got three weeks to go
Surely team will tell him to... is it a pride issue or something?

Oh comeon its not even possible. All the protesters either need just their share in the monstrous load of money this movie is bound to generate or just get publicity for themselves till it gets release. Point to be noted is the actor said all this before B1 release but since protestors did not expect B1's tremendous success, nobody took the opportunity before B1 release. Now not just karnataka, every possible entity/individual through out country will lookout for opportunity to manufacture a controversy just to cash in on the publicity.

U never know some lady may turn up saying "I am actually Baahubali's mother and the movie is showing wrong facts".

^Just what I hoping for from Rajamouli. He should ask the Karnatake state police to ensure security of the cinemas during the screenings and tell these goons to f*** off!

These silly mobs trying to create issues where there isn't any is a startling mentality; like Rajamouli said in the article, I thought this was somehow a recent issue. Its 9 years old already!! Even more startling.

Believe me, 1 state banning another state regional movie is just a start. All this because someone said something.

Pretty soon, Bollywood will follow this banning business too.

It still shocking how RAEES escaped Gujarat ban as bootlegging being the subject and Gujarat is a dry state.
