It's the nicest looking one design-wise, but I don't feel like it's reminiscent of the actual movie. It's just a bit too colorful and "modern" looking to me. I don't think of a gritty B&W John Wayne war movie when I see it.

Agreed, that was the first thing that came to my mind; that it was really bright.
I figured it would have had a darker tone and color scheme.

They all look pretty nice but I think I will wait for the bargain bin on most of these. I really need to cut back on the steelbooks (Disney, Marvel and personal favorites from now on)...way too many getting released right now.

Is this going to be remastered? I heard the current disc is garbage cause of DNR. I want Patton steelbook that is remastered as well.

It'll be the same transfer.. I watched a UV copy of this, which has the same transfer and it looks good Too good perhaps since it's very sharp and not very filmic. The B&W kind of covers up the faults of the DNR more than with Patton in my opinion, but certainly I wouldn't mind seeing a non DNR-d version.

It is but £19.99 is bit steep. I will wait to see how amazon prices this. TBH I might hold out and take my chances with these hitting the bargain bin in a few months like the Fox waves from last year.
